Privacy Policy

The Bookstore at Wallace Community College is committed to protecting the confidentiality of information submitted by employees, students, and visitors to our website. We do not actively share personal information or credit card information gathered. However, because the Bookstore at Wallace Community College is a part of a public institution, some information may be subject to Alabama Public Records Law. Thus, in some cases, we may be compelled, by law, to release information gathered from our web servers. This may contain, but, is not limited to, emails addresses sent to or from The Bookstore at Wallace Community College, server log information, phone communication, and information collected from Web-based forms.

Under the Code of Alabama 1975, Section 36-12-40, citizens have the right to inspect and take a copy of any public writing of the state, unless access to it is expressly forbidden by statute. While many of the records maintained by the Office of the Secretary of the State are available on the official website at https://www.alabama.gov/privacy-policy and may thus be obtained electronically, not all records are available through this process.

The Bookstore at Wallace Community College complies with the Family Educational and Privacy Act (FERPA), which generally prohibits the release of student’s education records without consent.
